WATER BARRIER UNIT

The unit is designed to prevent and localize fires in horizontal and inclined workings.

When extinguishing a fire, the unit is located on the return air side. The fire is extinguished with a fan-shaped water spray. A water barrier created across the entire cross-section of the working effectively cools down all gases passing through it and prevents spread of fire.

The unit can be fitted with a lock and release valve to provide operation in the automatic mode. When the temperature in the control zone rises to 68 ° C, the valve is actuated and the unit starts automatically.

The unit can be mounted on the floor of the working or on board of the cars, on ropes with a diameter from 10 to 40 mm.
