WETTING AGENT DOSING UNIT

The dosing unit is designed for automatic addition of the wetting agent to water used in sprinkling systems of mining equipment and prewetting of coal beds to increase dust suppression efficiency and prevent dust emission in underground mines and coal washing plants at positive ambient temperatures.

The dosing unit has a cylindrical sealed housing equipped with a ball valve for filling the wetting agent and a metering unit comprising a supply hose to supply water to the dosing unit, replaceable orifices arranged in pairs of the same size on the inlet and outlet of the dosing unit, and a hose to supply the wetting solution to the pressure main.

The operating principle: when water is supplied to the dosing unit, the main flow goes through the pipe, and a smaller part goes through the orifice into the container displacing the same amount of the liquid wetting agent out of it. The concentration of the liquid wetting agent is determined by the opening size of the orifice.
