SPECIFICATION:
The unit is designed to localize and extinguish fires in blind mine workings. The unit consists of two parts: a release device complete with a compressed air tank and an end device.
The unit is mounted with the end device on the fire main directly in the face, and the release device is located within maximum 20 meters from the mouth of the intake air side blind working.
In the event of a fire in the blind working, the fire main is opened by supplying a water pressure pulse to eject a piston plug of the end device in order to supply inert gas, foam, pulp or water via the pipeline to the face space.
